“Blessed be the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matt.5:8
On Saturday, November 4th, 2017, Laurence “Larry” Scott saw God. I believe this with 100% of my being, because I knew Larry Scott. What’s more, the Bible tells us so.
Pure in heart means having a good soul. A heart and soul without malice, hate or bigotry – that was 100% Larry. Larry would rather tithe to the church than go on nice trips or buy fancy homes and cars, and he preached that to his family and to parishioners during stewardship drives that he would lead.
As we prepare for the coming of Christ, and as we make our daily choices, let us think, WWLD – “What would Larry do?” His motto was always the Golden Rule, but he also added, “Do it ethically and without self-promotion or recognition.”
I asked Patty to add something. She said without hesitancy, “My Dad had 100% unconditional love for his loved ones. Just like Jesus!”
Blessings to all,
Daily Reading: John 12:35-36
35 Jesus said to them, ‘The light is with you for a little longer. Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. If you walk in the darkness, you do not know where you are going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light.’
